Happy Birthday!

September 18, 2008

Here is our little guy. Happy Birthday at 11:49 p.m. 9 lbs 4 oz, 20″ long, built like a Mac truck. Real broad shoulders. She went in for a Cesarean at 11:30. She had hard, long contractions with little break in between for several hours, and then absolutely none for an hour and a half. They brought the medical team in and decided that the Cesarean was the safest way to go for both Sarah and the baby. When I left a little before 2:00 a.m. she was breastfeeding with eyes slightly closed. She’s exhausted, but doing well. We did not have a name for him when I left. More tomorrow. I’m wiped out. But happy.
